Living Room Inspiration

Do you spend unhealthy amounts of time pouring through magazines to find the perfect images to inspire you in decorating your home? No? Ok, well, it’s just me who is crazy, but I will save you time of looking through around 50 magazines to bring you what i deem worthy of my inspiration folders! I hope you enjoy what is inspiring my Living Room.

Here I love the soft walls with the big bright windows. Also the furniture is a great neutral and really pops with a few key accent items. Score!

Here they put wood paneling horizontal around the walls! Who would have thought? But it is beautiful! Also I love the worn seaside look. You will probably find this is a running theme for me.

 Southern Living

This will be most like my actual home I think. Light seaglass blue walls, white trim, great built-ins. And the sofa is like mine too! Love how open it feels!scan0007

Better Homes and Gardens

Ok I know this is really more bedroom, but I LOVE the old dresser decked out with awesome vintage frames, and I am thinking that just might find a home in my living room.scan0008

 Better Homes and Gardens

Check out that awesome mirror! It really pops as the only dark part of this lovely bright room! scan0009Better Homes and Gardens

This image I really only like the room that is in the top right… wall color, built ins, yummy!! scan0010Better Homes and Gardens

A wall of fireplace? Are you kidding? That is awesome! I don’t know that I would ever have the nerve to paint it, but man it is beautiful like that! Also love the tone on tone in a darker shade for the drapes, and that they look like a rick dupoini silk, or burlap. Yeah, I know there is a huge difference between the 2, but it is hard to see. And fun squishy ottoman!

Love all the frames painted just a shade darker than the wall.scan0012 Country Home

Yummy hardwoods, Yummy fireplace. Awesome vintage mirrors. I would live here. Interesting that they use a wrinkled slipcover with really nice leather furniture though. Hmm. scan0013

This is all fun pops of color!

This one is one of the best tan shades for a wall, inviting but not too dark or light. Also our built ins are SO much like this! scan0015Better Homes and Gardens

I am kicking myself for ripping this image! I love love love this! scan0016Better Homes and Gardens

But lucky for me there was another shot in the mag. Isn’t the damask chair wonderful? I thought so too!scan0017

Better Homes and Gardens

I am so bummed that this didn’t scan better, but the walls are a great grey tan and the sofa is a rich dark brown. It is a stark contrast and beautiful! And I love the roman shades. scan0018

Deep dark hardwoods!

And finally a really nice TV stand.  Thanks you Ikea. scan0020

* Disclaimer: My scanner sadly does not do justice to these photos, they have much much better color in person! Also I poured over Better Homes and Gardens, Southern Living, Country Home, and Real Simple for the pictures, but I can’t really tell you where each is from, I wasn’t planning on posting them when I tore all the images out- but they are from those great magazines!
